Hyphen Magazine and Website

Last Friday night I had the pleasure of attending the launch party for the new Hyphen Magazine website. Hyphen magazine is a magazine focused on Asian American culture, people, politics and more. From a design standpoint, I love their use of white space, dynamic imagery, typography and illustrations. And when it comes to judging a book by it's cover, go right ahead - Hyphen covers are eye-catching, unique and true works of art. The newly launched website took it's cue from the magazine with it's refreshing design aesthetic. The site is easy to navigate, full of information, and is the perfect online component to the magazine. The best part of Hyphen is that it is completely non-profit and driven entirely by dedicated volunteers. Which perhaps makes me appreciate the professional quality design even more. So I fully believe in supporting this endeavor and hope that others will as well.
