Every person in New York

Jason Polon wants to draw every person in New York. He draws people on the subway, on the street, restaurants, and museums. His drawings are quick black and white line drawings that have a lot of personality and a recognizable New York energy. Jason publicly announces where he will be on his blog, so you can anonymously plant yourself in that particular location if you want to be drawn. Then who knows, maybe a drawing of you will be on Jason's blog.••••

so.cool. i love projects like this. also, i love the self-consciousness of the whole thing [the way he has a clear mission; the way he posts where he'll be on his blog]. it takes the whole thing to a new level -- he's not just trying to draw everyone; he's going about it in a semi-systematic way. it's pretty awesome.
