Cock a Doodle What?!

As a frequent blog reader, I sometimes come across a popular, reoccurring article or blog post online that I just don't agree with or see the mass appeal. Feel free to disagree, but I am not sure where I stand with the Animals on the Underground series I have seen now on more than one occasion. For example:

This Flamingo isn't half bad. But...
...the bat. Really?! Kind of a stretch.
The roster is OK. Neither here nor there.
What do you think?

I love 'em! Seeing as I love both maps and animals, I find this highly entertaining...it could be a neat way to teach kids about public transportation.

I like how Animals on The Underground supports IFAW (http://www.ifaw.org) which helps protect animals around the world.

Also of note is animal drawing contest that was run, I think whoever won should be posted soon.

AND, if you are a fan you can download wallpaper of either the whale, seal or elephant here: http://www.ifaw.org/ifaw/general/default.aspx?oId=227128

If the Boston Transit were a little more complex maybe we could do that here! Maybe add all the bus lines in too?

Yea... they suck. Good idea I suppose... because when I thought of "Animals on The Underground" I thought of something COMPLETELY different.

I have to agree with Sarah. I think they are cute. Not "I want a T-shirt cute", but a nice way to brighten up the underground... and this is coming from a person with a fear of subways-I'm mean really, ewww. So bring on the animals... the bat is strech, and who thought "o wow that looks like a wombat!"
