In recent years the city of Dubai, located in the eastern Arabian Peninsula, has been architecturally and culturally transformed. As a way to continue the expansion and growth of this city the Dubai Culture & Arts Authority has collaborated with Rem Koolhaas and Jack Persekian on the exhibit Dubai Next - Face of 21st Century Culture. The leading developers of Dubai aim to make the city the center of International and Regional culture over the next decade. This specific exhibition allowed artists to expand upon the already impressive architectural achievements of the city and to showcase how they might develop the artistic culture in coming years. This is truly the beginning of a turning point in Dubai's development and will lead the way to a culturally rich metropolis unlike anywhere else.
