The Google Phone

The T-Mobile G1, aka "The Google Phone" hits stores October 22.

The T-Mobile G1 with Google is the first commercially available phone to run on the 'Android' operating system, which empowers developers with tools to create and offer consumers applications that add value to their lives. This is one of many initiatives T-Mobile is working on to lead the industry in bringing real innovation to wireless customers.

Meh, the iphone is still cooler.••••

1) Look at all that plastic
2) Buttons?? Who needs buttons?
3) Is it an iPod? No... it's a Zune.
4) How small is that screen? Yikes...

iPhone is better... way better.

Interesting how the shape is the same silhouette as the iPhone, check out the rounded edges.

At first I thought that Google was putting this out in an effort to compete with the iPhone. It is clearly no competition, but then I heard on NPR (nerd alert?) that they are actually gunning for Microsoft consumers, not Apple. Something to think about..hmmm.
