I'll admit I wasn't very original last Wednesday when I followed the lead of pretty much EVERY design blog and posted the chart showing the progression of the Pepsi and Coca-Cola logos throughout the past century. When given the option I always choose Coke vs. Pepsi (oh yeah, the picture above is of an antique, metal Coca-Cola sign that hangs in my kitchen), so I saw this chart as further proof that Coke really was the superior brand. Well, I have to applaud Brand New for responding to said chart with a thoughtful and extremely well researched article questioning the validity of it; now a new and more comprehensive chart can circulate around the blogosphere. Although it proves that the Coke logo has had its share of rebranding, the logo remains far more consistent than the inferior Pepsi logo which tends to take on trendy gimmicks causing certain phases to look dated. Thanks Brand New for taking on this challenge...I think we can all rest easy now. ••••

1. Nice kitchen decor.
2. Are there any living pepsi brand out there? Come to the defense of your flailing brand!!
Fabulous kitchen.
I love your posts; I always learn something :)
Whoa, Meg(h)an lovefest on the comment wall!
I'm going to comment just to break up the Meghans.
I heart Coke. Especially Vanilla Coke but that is more about the taste. I do like the older Pepsi logos better than more recent but I do have to admit I was into the latest iteration of the Pepsi logo. Of course Coke is still #1 in my (sometimes soda pop craving) heart.
