RadioShack just announced their plans to rebrand as "The Shack," beginning this Thursday. An article in the Dallas Morning News states, "The company isn't changing the name of its stores. Chief marketing officer Lee Applbaum said the nickname is an attempt at 'contemporizing the way we want people to think about our brand.'" This feels oddly reminiscent of Pizza Hut's latest marketing slogan "The Hut"....wonder how that's going.... ••••

Ohh by the way, can you all please start calling me "the martin"?
thanks.
I HATE RADIO SHACK!!! No amount of rebranding is going to change this for me. The Shack seems an appropriate title for their stores. Did you ever see the Seinfeld episode where Kramer brings them up?
Kramer: Why does Radio Shack ask for your phone number when you buy batteries? I don't know.
SO TRUE!!! I had a bad experience buying a phone battery...wow...about 8 years ago. Haven't bought anything there since...
Damn the Shack.
