Hogwarts School of Design

I just finished reading all of the Harry Potter books for the first time in rapid succession, so needless to say I was drooling all over my keyboard when I stumbled across the site of M.S. Corley, who cleverly re-imagined the Rowling series as Penguin Classics. I really love the restricted, graphic illustration style of these—and the fact that he is planning to release the series as prints. Approved by the Ministry... and the Crew! ••••

Approved by the Ministry INDEED. I want them all, what a great find!

Every time I have seen those books, I thought the covers needed a redesign. Maybe these won't appeal to children but I love them.

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE. what a huge improvement over the original covers! I agree with Martin, kids probably won't like them as much, however I think I know more adult HP fans than children!

Food for thought. The translations into Italian and French have different cover designs as well. They also have different illustrations. I believe the graphics are different for every language. Side note. I saw the preview for the new film.. crazy... i have to do some rereading. - Kaitlin

These are way cool... a breath of fresh air from the busy, shiny covers of the US edition.

Wow, I am obsessed with these! Don't worry, Jez, I am living up to my promise of reading these books (and loving that I am). Some Twilight/HP conversation soon?

Speaking of Twilight, let's hope someone does a redesign of those covers some time soon. Up for the challenge, Crew?
