Found In Boston: Farmers Markets

With a few good weeks remaining to enjoy Boston's fall weather, now is the perfect time to take advantage of the farmers markets that pop up around the city from May to late November. Vendors sell amazingly fresh produce, tasty baked goods, and colorful flowers at various locations throughout the city Monday through Saturday. You may not find the dirt cheap prices of Haymarket, but in quality and friendliness these open air markets exceed it by far. Click here for a full schedule to find a traveling market nearby, run by the Federation of Massachusetts Farmers Markets— and if you don't live in Boston, you can live vicariously through the slideshow above. (Today there's one going on in Copley, right outside my office, and I can't wait to treat myself to a tasty pumpkin whoopie pie later this afternoon...)

Excuse me?! A whoopie pie?!

Great photos, tess! I feel like most of these could have been equally beautiful web banners.

You know, I was doing a stock photo search for "farmers market" pictures a few days ago and these are way better than any I saw.

Makin Whoopie? Pie?
I love this little series, Tess. You have a real gift for natural cropping and interesting color compositions that is evident here. Loves it!

Great colors! You've really captured the vibrancy of farmers' markets.

I like that you've been visiting all of these and think you shouldn't stop...more treats for us? There is a market Thursday nights in Brookline!
